Gutermann Topstitch is the thickest of the Gutermann threads. It is suitable for decorative top stitching, hand-sewn button holes, dolls' faces and other stitched embellishment applications. It can be used for hand and machine sewing.

For machine stitching with Gutermann Topstitch, we recommend a thinner thread in the bobbin such as Gutermann Extra Strong or Gutermann Natural Cotton. We also recommend a sharp, large-eyed machine needle such as a Schmetz Topstitch 100.
