Gutermann Natural (100%) Cotton sewing thread is a good-quality, versatile, general purpose thread.

Natural Cotton is a medium 50-weight thread (tex rating 30). As well as being used for patchwork and quilting, it is suitable for many decorative and home sewing projects such as dressmaking, furnishings, stitched crafts and mending.

With this thread we would recommend using:

• A Schmetz Universal 80 needle for dressmaking and general machine sewing;
• A Schmetz Microtex 80 needle for machine piecing;
• A Schmetz Quilting 90 needle for machine quilting;
• A John James Sharps Size 8 for hand sewing.
