Gutermann Hand Quilting Cotton thread is a good-quality, strong, glazed thread. Glazing helps to protect the thread against tangling and smooths the passage of the thread through the fabric. However, it means the thread cannot be used for machine sewing. This thread has been an industry standard in hand quilting for decades and is still very popular. A safe choice for hand quilting.

We recommend you use John James Quilting needles with this thread. Sizes 9, 10 and 11 are all suitable. Alternatively, use John James Big Eye (Size 10) needles as these are a little easier to thread.

Available on 200m 'keep tidy' snap spools. Wind the thread into the 'keep tidy' lid to stop it coming loose during storage.
