Build your hand piecing skills with this simple one-patch design that uses the traditional English Paper Piecing technique. You can use a Moda Layer Cake for this class or, alternatively, a collection of scraps or fat quarters. The more fabrics, the merrier. A great 'on-the-go' project for taking with you on holiday or for piecing together in the evenings. We will be teaching the basic technique during this class. You will then be able to carry on and make a cushion cover or a quilt top - your finished piece can be as large or as small as you wish.
What to bring to class with you:
- Four fat quarters or some scraps of cotton fabric
- Hand sewing kit including fabric scissors, sharp fabric pencil, thimble, sewing needle
- Aurifil 50 thread (or Masterpiece) in a colour/s to match your fabric
- Tacking thread such as Gutermann 50 or other inexpensive thread
It is essential to book for this workshop. Once you have purchased this class, please ring the shop to arrange a date and time. The class should last approximately 2 - 2.5 hours.
