Die Cut Paper Hexagons for English Paper Piecing
Choose Hexagon Size and Pack Size from drop boxes below
English Paper Piecing is experiencing a huge resurgence in popularity. Patterns abound in magazines, books and online videos. But the one thing that holds us back from this beautiful, traditional quilt art is the need to cut out those papers. Cutting out hexagons is time consuming and quite off-putting.
Let New Threads take the hard work out of English Paper Piecing for you. We die cut our hexagons out of paper that is firm enough to hold its shape but flexible enough to needle. Papers can be re-used several times.
If you are purchasing these papers to use with our Pre-Cut fabrics:
- Choose the 1.00" Hexagons to use with Mini Charms and 2.5" Strips (Jelly Rolls)
- Choose the 1.25" Hexagons to use with 10" Squares (Layer Cakes) if you divide LC into 9 smaller squares
We refer to hexagon sizes by the length of each of the six sides. The reason for this is that in English Paper Piecing, all shapes with the same side length measurement share a 'size'. So a triangle with 1.5" sides is refered to as a 1.5" triangle and can be sewn to a hexagon or diamond that has 1.5" sides, because they are also refered to as 1.5" hexagons and 1.5" diamonds.
