Vilene - Vliesofix - Bondaweb - 6mm fabric adhesive tape
This fabric adhesive bonding tape is 6mm wide (1/4"), perfect for making your own iron-on bias tape or for securing ribbon to fabric. Use this product with our bias maker tools to create self-adhesive bias binding out of any cotton fabric. or use it with packaged bias tape to create self-adhesive bias tape that is much less expensive than packaged self adhesive varieties. Ideal for creating unique Celtic applique pieces.
The adhesive tape is basically exactly like Bondaweb, i.e., paper backed web adhesive. 15 metres are supplied on the spool.
How to use: Position the rough side of the tape against the wrong side of ribbon or bias tape, then press lightly into place with a household iron no hotter than two dots. Allow to cool. Peel paper backing away. Apply ribbon/bias to background fabric and press into place. Stitch as necessary.
