Schmetz needles are amongst the finest engineered sewing machine needles in the world.
Schmetz Topstitch Needles are ideal for use with decorative threads. The large rounded eye supports thicker threads and metallics. Superior Thread recommend this needle in the size 90/14 both for their metallic threads and their general quilting threads. We recommend this size 100/16 needle for use with thicker metallics and cottons and with any thick decorative surface thread or Jeans Stitch, or for use when you wish to run two or three lighter threads through a single needle. Excellent for topstitch work when dressmaking, but also ideal for surface thread play in textile art.
The groove on this needle will fit most threads labelled 30 weight or near to 30 weight. For lighter weight threads, try the Schmetz Topstitch 90/14 or the Schmetz Embroidery 75/11 needle.
This pack contains five (5) needles. For best results, use a sharp new needle for your project.
