SCHMETZ SEWING MACHINE NEEDLES - QUILTING - SIZE 75
Schmetz needles are amongst the finest engineered sewing machine needles in the world.
Schmetz Quilting Needles are designed for quilting through the three typical layers of fabric and wadding of a quilt. The long tip of the needle helps to create balanced tension between top and bobbin threads to help sitches lock in the middle of the wadding rather than pulling to either the top or bottom of the quilt layers. The point is very sharp, which helps to cope with woven fabrics.
These needles are perfect for medium weight cotton or cotton blend quilting threads. The groove on this needle will fit most threads labelled 50 or 40-weight. Always match the needle size to the TOP THREAD in your machine.
This pack contains 100 needles. Always use a sharp new needle for quilting. If skipped stitches occur when using this needle, you are probably using the wrong needle size. Try changing to a size 90/14 Quilting or perhaps a 90/14 Embroidery needle which will give you a slightly larger eye and larger groove.
These needles fit almost all makes of domestic sewing machines - Brother, Pfaff, Bernina, Janome, Juki, Husqvarna, Toyota, Singer, etc... (There are one or two pre-WWII models that they don't fit - if you have a pre WWII domestic sewing machine, consult your sewing machine manual to see if system H needles fit.)
