SCHMETZ SEWING MACHINE NEEDLES - Microtex Sharp - SIZE 80/12
Schmetz needles are amongst the finest engineered sewing machine needles in the world.
Schmetz Microtex Needles are designed for stitching micro fibres and closely woven fibres such as poplin and silks. Their sharp points and strong, yet slim, shafts also make them very useful for patchwork piecing.
These size 80 needles are perfect for medium weight cotton, silk or blended threads. The groove on this needle will fit most medium weight cotton threads, labelled 50-weight or similar, such as Gutermann 50 weight cotton.
This pack contains five (5) needles. For best results, always use a sharp new needle for your project. If skipped stitches occur when using this needle, you are probably using the wrong needle size. Try changing to a size 90/14 Topstitch needle. If holes are left in closely woven fibres, change to a lighter thread and downsize to a size 70/10 Microtex needle. The top thread should nestle neatly into the groove on the front of the needle shaft. If it doesn't fit into the groove, use a larger needle.
