OLFA Premium Quilting Kit
This is an ideal, high quality starter kit for those new to patchwork and quilting. Rotary cutting mat, rotary cutter with blade, and square acrylic rotary cutting ruler, all supplied in a single kit in most popular style/size.
The rotary cutting mat is the popular 18" x 12" size. It is of durable multi-layer construction and will not blunt blades. It is printed in Olfa's classic yellow grid on dark green background for high visibility. The mat is printed with metric measurements on one side and imperial measurements on the reverse for dual use. It has 45, 60 and 90 degree angles marked on both sides.
The rotary cutter is the classic Olfa 45mm lock/safety straight handle model, the best seller in the Olfa range. It is supplied with a 45mm rotary blade already fitted in the unit.
The ruler supplied in this kit is a classic 6 1/2" Olfa frosted ruler. high visiblity, easy to read markings. The ruler is in imperial measurements, marked to the 1/8th inch clear markings also at 1/4" and 1/2" intervals. Solid lines at the even inch intervals. A 45 degree angle is marked across the ruler with handy notches to indicate corner junctions for adding 1/4" seam allowances to patches. Markings on the ruler are in black, so will show up easily against all colours, including dark colours because of the frosting on the ruler.
