A Layer Cake is a collection of 40 squares of fabric, each 10" wide and 10" in length. Each square is a different print and there are usually a good range of lights, mediums and darks in each roll. There is one square from each print in the collection. See photo for actual colour distribution. One square from each of the 40 prints in this range, so 40 different prints.
Normally one or two Layer Cakes are sufficient to complete an average double quilt, depending on how much background plain fabric is incorporated into the design.
Note: There are lots of imitations pre-cut fabric sets on the market, but we stock only genuine Moda Layer Cakes and Jelly Rolls, cut accurately by Moda.
