A Jelly Roll is a collection of 40 strips of fabric, each 2 1/2" wide and 44" in length. The strip is the full width of a bolt of fabric. In total, that is 2.5m of fabric (just shy of 3 yards) in each Jelly Roll. Each strip is a different print and there are usually a good range of lights, mediums and darks in each roll. See photo for actual colour distribution. One fabric strip from each of the 40 prints in this range, so 40 different prints.

Normally one or two Jelly Rolls are sufficient to complete an average double quilt, depending on how much background plain fabric is incorporated into the design.
Note: There are lots of imitations of jelly rolls on the market, but we stock only genuine Moda Jelly Rolls, cut accurately to 2 1/2" by Moda.
