COLLINS FINE LINE AIR ERASEABLE FABRIC MARKING PEN
This product is for use on textiles, particularly for marking stitch guidelines for quilting or embroidery. The pen has a fine purple line, perfect for detailed stitch guide lines or intricate designs. The line is purple when drawn and easily seen under an artificial light, such as when stitching in the evening. The line fades with UV light. In normal (not bright) domestic rooms, lines will remain for between 24-48 hours before disappearing. Mark only a few hours worth of stitching pattern at a time, because the drawn lines are unlikely to remain on the fabric, due to the nature of the pen. Avoid working where marked textiles will be exposed to very bright conditions, such as in a conservatory setting. If work time is interrupted, fold or cover work to protect it from light while you are not stitching, as this will help to delay fading.
To accelerate fading, leave marked work in bright sunlight.
Always test any marking pen on a spare piece of fabric before use. Whilst all our marking pens are good quality and should remove easily from most cloth, following the manufacturer's instructions with the product, in rare cases a cloth may have dressings or sizings which do not react well with a particular marking product. Do not apply any heat source to the marked lines, even after they have faded away naturally, until after the work has been washed.
Under no circumstances should this pen be used to sign personal cheques or any legally binding document. Store this pen away from household pens so that it is not used in error to sign cheques or documents. Always store flat with lid on.
