New Threads Quilt Shop
New Threads Quilt Shop and New Threads Embroidery Shop are located in a historical craft centre 1 1/2 miles west of Andover, Hampshire, in the village of Weyhill. We are 20 mins from the cathedral city of Salisbury, 20 mins from the World Heritage Site of Stonehenge and 25 mins south of Highclere Castle where Downton Abbey was filmed. Why not combine a trip to our shop with a bit of sightseeing?
Our opening hours are: Monday-Saturday, 10-5; Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays.
You will find both our quilt shop and embroidery shop near to the Tea Room where you can sit indoors or out to enjoy lovely homemade sandwiches and cakes during your visit.
There are a wide variety of craft studios on the site. Workshops and demo sessions at the other craft studios can be booked before your visit. You can find out more information about the craft studios at www.fairgroundcraft.co.uk
There is plenty of free parking inside the gates of the Craft Centre and plenty of room for coaches should you wish to book a group visit.
By road: we are just off the A303 - take the exit marked Weyhill and follow the road about 1 mile to the village of Weyhill. The long chalk walls of the Craft Centre are distinctive on the right hand side of the road as you get near the end of the village. Turn right at the roundabout to enter the site.
By bus: The number 8 bus runs regularly from Andover bus station to the gates of the Craft Centre.
By rail: From Andover train station, it is best to walk to the bus station and then catch the number 8 bus. Alternatively it is about a 10 minute ride by taxi to the Fairground from the train station.
